Since 2014, in collaboration with Rete Clima® – a non-profit environmental organisation – Tessitura Attilio Imperiali has undertaken a path to calculate and compensate the carbon dioxide (CO2) emitted by the company’s activities. Carbon dioxide is a “greenhouse gas” and the first cause of climate change: talking about heating means referring to a serious and worrying phenomenon, the greatest environmental risk to which man is exposed today.

Instead of planting trees in a tropical forest in distant countries or remote areas, Rete Clima promotes compensation projects throughout the local territory and urban forestry, so that the projects can be visible and compensation can be a real, tangible activity, traceable in the territory.

In this way, patches of nature are established in an urban or semi-urban setting, which are able to produce positive effects as regards ecology, the ecosystem, temperature control and recreation.
