Last night in Milan, at the theatre in Piazza Vetra where the Versace fashion show used to be held, they declared the winner of the competition for young designers under 30, which this year reached its ninth edition.
The Milan Fashion Week, which will invade the Lombard capital from 25 February to 2 March, is focussing more and more on the creativity of young designers. Last night, the four young finalists, Claudio Cutugno, 22, Luca Lin, 21, Denyse Cottini, 22, Alessandro Canti and Gianluca Viscomi, 23, presented their first collection in the show that closed the “Next generation” competition, promoted and organised by the National Chamber of Italian Fashion. The four talents were selected from a short list of 21 finalists chosen among more than 250 initial candidates.
The competition was won by Claudio Cutugno, the designer that Tessitura Attilio Imperiali followed in this creative journey, supplying free of charge the fabrics for making the garments presented.
